Tip-2 diyabetli ve meme kanserli hastalarda insan antimikrobiyal katyonik peptitlerin düzeylerinin araştırılması

Abstract:

İn this study it was measured antimicrobial cationic peptides levels and vitamin D levels among the patients who have only breast cancer, only type 2 diabetes mellitus, both type 2 diabetes mellitus and breast cancer. Aim of the study is to determine these parameter levels on breast cancer and type 2 diabetus mellitus and find out the differences among themselves and control group. According to experimental datum, when we compare HNP-3 level with each group the difference was found significant(p<0,05). When it was compared within the groups two each two at a time differences were found significant. On the other hand, differences among the other groups (group 2 and 3, 2and 4, 3and 4) were found irrevelant (p<0,05). While we compare the data for HNP-4, LL-37, HBD-1 and HBD-3 on group difference wasn't important to as well (p>0,05).When we equate the difference in terms of vitamin D it was found significant (p<0,05). While it was compared within the groups two each two at a time as group 1 and 2, group 1 and 3, group 1 and 4 differances were found important(p<0,05), in spite of this, differences among other groups were found insignificant (2 and 3, 2 and 4, 3 and 4) In our study, when it was investigated the relationship between antimicrobial cationic peptides and disease it was figure out that these peptides increases on breast cancer. Besides, α defencins other peptides were also increased among diabetes patients. Although many studies Show that these antimicrobial peptides could be an tumor indicator, our study results point out that also diabetes presence should have investigated. Otherwise false positive result may cause erroneous diagnosis and treatment. On the other hand if α defensins levels decrease among the patients, who have diabetes, it can affect immune system in a bad way. And as a result of this, probability to get an infection may increase.
