Abstract:

The aim of this study is to find out how the teachers who give vocational lessons at the vocational religious high schools perceive their roles at teaching vocational lessons regarding both the students' and the teachers' perspectives. The role of the teacher is student centered and can be classified as the teacher's role at school / in the classroom, in the neighbourhood and so on. Since in reflecting the roles of the teacher on the learning process, the teacher's personal and professional qualifications must be revealed, these are also included in the study. Surveys are used as a data collection tool in this study. The research is limited to Sivas city and it has three sections. In the first section, The Vocational Religious High School Curriculum , the role of the teacher and the vocational lessons teacher, the objectives and the expectations of the syllabus are discussed. In the second section, there are the considerations of students about the teachers and vocational lessons within the framework of the role of teachers. In the third section, the extent of the qualifications that the teachers must have and the teachers' roles from their own point of view are handled.
