Abstract:

This study was done today, in which the program approach based on the learners gets increasingly important, on the purpose of investigating the information about Alawism within the scope of the Religious Culture and Ethics Course in secondary education and the students' thoughts on it; offering suggestions to the studies of program development while evaluating the state of the current Religious Culture and Ethics Course curriculum and contributing to related literature. In addition, there are summary information which are related to the subject of Alawism which creates the main topic of the study, and in the culture of religion and knowledge of ethics class in secondary education programs that had been applied since 2005. The study was conducted with the survey research method among the quantitive research methods. The samples of the research consist of 392 students who are seniors in various high school in the Sivas city center with simple random sampling method. The survey which was created by the researcher is used as the data gathering method. The research consists of four parts. In the first part while presenting the state of the problem, the purpose, importance, premises, finitudes and methods of the study and the studies that have been done related to this subject were introduced. In the second part, summary information on the historical development of Alawism; belief, worship, understanding of islamic mysticism are presented, and Alawism subjects that have been applied in our country since 2005 in the Religious Culture and Ethics Course in secondary education programs are examined. The third part consists of the analysis of the findings that have been found from the surveys and their commentaries. Through the questions of the survey, gender, type of the school and variables of how students define themselves are analyzed and interpreted. In the last part which includes the result and in the suggestions part according to the findings, evaluations are carried out and suggestions are made.
