Abstract:

The research on "Sivas Example of Religious Education in Quran Courses for 4-6 Age Group Affiliated to the Presidency of Religious Affairs" aims to examine Quran courses for 4-6 age group affiliated to DIB located in the city center of Sivas in terms of religious education provided, again in accordance with the opinions of the teachers who take part in the courses. The research aims to determine and evaluate the physical condition, administrative structure, current status of students and parents of the Quran courses for the 4-6 age group, which have been providing education since the 2013-2014 academic year, to what extent they meet the needs and expectations. However, it was intended to be done in order to consult the opinions of the teachers on whether the religious education provided is appropriate for the child's level, whether the teacher has the equipment to teach this age group of children, whether the methods and materials used are useful, the study of the religious education process in the Quran courses of the 4-6 age group affiliated to the Presidency of Religious Affairs, based on the example of Sivas, primarily focused on the developmental characteristics of the 4-6 age group child and the importance of religious education to be given during this period. In the first part of the research, the subject, problem, purpose, importance, hypotheses, limitations, method, pattern, data collection analysis, universe, scope and related studies were included; in the second part, religious education for 4-6 years and important issues to focus on in the education given during this period; in the third part, details such as the history, program, basic approach and content of DIB 4-6 years Qur'an courses; in the fourth part, general information, findings and comments about the course attendants participating in the research were included. In the research, semi-structured interview technique from qualitative research patterns was used. In order to describe religious education as it exists, interviews were conducted with 30 teachers working in Koranic courses for the 4-6 age group affiliated to the Directorate of Religious Affairs located in the center of Sivas. The research was concluded with the analysis of the findings and comments and the hope that it will contribute to the field.
