Abstract:

Privacy education is an important education that every individual should learn from childhood onwards, in order for individuals to know their own private rights, to determine the boundaries of their private space and to protect their own rights and private space in their social life. At a time when social life is starting to be lived more in view and the use of the Internet and social media is increasing with developing technology, the subject of privacy has become an important area of education. Based on the idea that the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge course is also an important area in which privacy education can be given in schools, it was decided to build such a study. In the study, attention was drawn to the importance of privacy education first and some basic information about the subject was given. In the introduction section of the study, the subject, purpose, importance and method of the research are given. In the first part, some general information about privacy and privacy education has been given and the theoretical basis of the subject has been established. In the second part, the Curriculum of the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Course prepared by the Ministry of National Education in 2018 and the content of the textbooks for the 2022-2023 academic year were analyzed in terms of privacy education and some suggestions on the subject were presented in line with the results obtained.
