Özet
Modernliğin ürettiği çocuk imgesi, masumiyetin, saflığın,
temizliğin ve sevecenliğin göstergesidir. Geleneksel ve modern
toplumlarda çocukların farklı sosyalizasyon süreçlerine tabi olması, her
toplumda farklı çocuk imgelerini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu imgeleri
keşfetmenin bir yolu da çocuk kitaplarına başvurmaktır. Bu çalışmanın
temel konusu, çocuk kitaplarında tanımlanan çocuk imgelerini ortaya
çıkarmak ve betimlemektir. Modern çocukluk kavramıyla birlikte
değişime uğrayan çocuk imgeleri, günümüzde çocukluğun nasıl
yapılandırıldığı sorusuna da cevap üretmektedir. Çalışmanın temel
amacı, Cumhuriyet dönemi çocuk kitaplarında öne çıkan çocuk
imgelerini betimlemek ve yorumlamaktır. Kitapların seçiminde
amaçsal örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çocuk kitaplarının
ilköğretim yaşındaki çocuklara hitap etmesine ve son dönem kitaplar
olmasına özen gösterilmiştir. Yazar seçiminde ise serbest
davranılmıştır. Çalışmada doküman analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır.
Metin içinde çocuk kavramının kullanılma bağlamına göre imgeler
tespit edilmiştir. En sık kullanılan imgeler aktif çocuk imgesi, endişeli
çocuk imgesi ve gelecek çocuk imgesidir.

Abstract
The child image produced by modernity is the indicator of
innocence, purity, cleanliness and compassion. The fact that children
are subject to different socialization processes in traditional and modern
societies has revealed different child images in every society. One way
to explore these images is to consult children's books. The main subject
of this study is to reveal and describe the child images defined in
children's books. The images of children, which have changed with the
concept of modern childhood, also produce an answer to the question
of how childhood is structured today. The main purpose of the study is
to describe and interpret the prominent child images in children's books
of the Republic period. Purposive sampling method was used in the
selection of the books. Care has been taken to ensure that children's
books appeal to primary school age children and that they are books of
the last period. No specific criteria were used in the selection of
authors. In the study, document analysis technique was used. Images
were determined according to the context of using the concept of child
in the text. The most frequently used images are active child image,
worried child image and future child image.
