Özet

Cisplatin is a platinum-based antineoplastic agent used in the treatment of many malignant diseases, including head and neck tumors, cancers of the urogenital system, central nervous system, respiratory system and esophagus in adults and children. Cisplatin treatment can cause various toxic side effects such as nausea, nephrotoxicity, cardiotoxicity, hepatotoxicity and neurotoxicity. As a result of the literature review, various studies have been performed to reduce the side effects and toxic effects of cisplatin and other anticancer molecules without changing their activities. In this study, we planned to prepare nanoparticle formulation by ionic gelation method using chitosan and tripolyphosphate (TPP) by using the knowledge obtained from the literature. In this study, chitosan nanoparticles containing the same concentration of cisplatin were applied to MDA-MB cells. As a result, similar cytotoxic effects and biocompatible nanoparticles cause less side effects in other cells and tissues.
