Özet

Banksy is a street artist who is famous for his stunning murals in many different countries, mainly England. He is regarded as difficult for the art world, and is an artist who has made a mockery of the art galleries and showed the world's most influential 100 names together with Steve Jobs and Lady Gaga in Time magazine in 2010. Called "guerrilla artist", the artist gives messages about anti-war, environmentalist, advocating animal rights and criticizing consumption insanity. As an ordinary graphic artist from Bristol, his work adorns the walls of the Banksy celebrities who find buyers in six-figure figures at auction. The emergence of a new Banksy on the street can be a national news, people are waiting for hours in the queue for the latest exhibition and are nominated for the Oscar, "Exit Through the Gift Shop." This situation is in fact contrary to the spirit of street art, which is a stance against all kinds of marketing spaces created by the capital system. Because the essence of street art is a challenge to the artifacts and built-up values exhibited by the exhibition venues where art is marketed. This work will also examine the process of moving to the exhibition halls of street art and the auction venues with a glance at the life and work of this extraordinary artist.
