Özet

Ali Riza Efendi became one of the members of the Ottoman police organization in the late 19th century, climbed the career ladder with firm steps thanks to his clean personal record, but suddenly found himself outside of the organization upon a report given about him regarding abuse of policing profession. Considering that he never deserved to be dismissed from the profession, he embarked on a legal struggle that would last for years. When his struggle ended, his rightfulness came to light, therefore he won the struggle. This study focuses on the legal struggle pointed out besides Ali Riza Efendi's life and career story.
