© 2021 OSA.We present a SESAM mode-locked self-starting Cr:ZnS oscillator operating at 2.37 µm, producing record low 80 fs transform limited pulses (bandwidth 71 nm) at average output power of 0.8 W from a 250 MHz cavity.
