Özet

The present study estimates the increase in the number of jobs resulting from the additional investments in energy sector if Turkey's renewable energy percentage in the electricity generation is 100%. The share to be allocated to each renewable energy source within additional investment value is determined according to COPRAS-based multi-criteria decision making method. The contribution of renewable energy investment value which is determined through COPRAS to employment in the country has been estimated according to Jobs and Economic Development Impact (JEDI) Model which was developed by National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). According to results of the model, it is estimated that a total of 1.132.545 additional jobs will be created with following breakdown through the installation and operation of 56.694 MW renewable energy plants instead of fossil fuel power stations: to 576.664 people directly, to 322.852 people indirectly and to 233.030 people through stimulated employment.
