Everolimus is an immunosuppressive agent belonging to the mTOR inhibitors group, used in solid organ transplantation and renal cell carcinomas. The use of inhibitors of the mTOR group in renal carcinomas is associated with many side effects, the potentially most severe being interstitial pneumonitis.
