Abstract

Description of rocks in engineering geology is a specific and different from other geological disciplines. This need results from the necessity to apply of the rock properties in their names and descriptions. For foundation engineering is not the most important petrographic rock name, but their properties, which are reflected in the characteristics of foundation engineering (bearing capacity, settlement).
