Özet
Alexia without agraphia is a rare disconnection syndrome characterized by the loss of reading ability with retention of writing and verbal comprehension. We report right-handed two patients who are 53 and 79 years old developed alexia without agraphia due to ischemic and hemoragic serebrovascular disease, respectively. In these cases, infarct and hematoma of the left occipital lobe caused alexia without agraphia, right homonymus hemianopy, acalculi, color agnosia and mild nomynal aphasia. Here we discuss the association between lesion location and clinical signs and review of the literature.
