It is well known that the surface properties of ground particles in different mills affect the flotation behavior of minerals in mineral processing operations.
Wettability characteristics of mineral surfaces can be defined in terms of their critical surface tension of wetting values (c) to achieve selectivity in flotation.
An understanding of the effect of surface roughness of ground particle on wetting is of crucial importance in obtaining desired beneficiation.
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the surface roughness and the C values of calcite as an example mineral to study.
