Özet

In our study, between 2011 and 2020, the data of 460 patients (18-89 years old) who applied to different

clinics of Sivas Cumhuriyet University Application and Research Hospital, whose "anti-HCV and HCV-RNA

positive and HCV genotype values" were retrospectively investigated. Also the HCV genotype frequency, the

age, gender and genotype distribution of the patients who developed HCC were determined. The mean age of

male patients was found to be significantly lower than female patients. The frequency of HCV genotype 1b

was found to be quite high. This result is similar to the HCV genotype 1b rates previously reported from our

country. In addition, it has been observed that genotype 1b is dominant in a limited number of cancer types,

especially HCC. Although the number of data in our study is limited, the incidence of HCC was higher in male

than in female. Also anti-HCV and HCV RNA positive patients were diagnosed with HCC within a minimum

of 2 years, a maximum of 10 years, and a mean of 5.5 years.
