Özet

ÖZET
AMAÇ: Bu çalışma sağlık yönetimi öğrencilerinin problem çözme becerilerini inceleme amacıyla yapılmıştır

YÖNTEM: Tanımlayıcı bu çalışmada veriler kişisel bilgi formu ve Problem Çözme Envanteri ile toplanmıştır. Evren ve örneklemi, İç Anadolu bölgesinde yer alan bir kamu üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Sağlık Yönetimi Bölümünün tüm öğrencileri (N=230) oluşturmuştur. 4-8 Mart 2013 tarihleri arasında toplanan verilerin analizi SPSS 14 programında Ki-kare, t testi, Mann-Whitney U testi, One-Way ANOVA Kruskal-Wallis testleri ile yapılmıştır. Envanterden alınabilecek toplam puan 32-192 arasında değişmekte olup ölçekten alınan yüksek puanlar düşük düzeyde problem çözme becerisini ifade etmektedir.

BULGULAR: Çalışmaya katılan 195 öğrencinin, problem çözme puan ortalaması 82,12±18,27’dir. Çalışmada 3. sınıf öğrencilerinin (73,92±16,77) ve liderlik-yöneticilik vasıflarına sahip olduğunu düşünen öğrencilerin (=79,83±17,21) problem çözme becerileri diğer gruplara göre anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olarak belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Yaş, cinsiyet, anne-baba eğitimi, kardeş sayısı, ekonomik düzey gibi değişkenlerle problem çözme becerileri arasında anlamlı fark saptanmamıştır.

SONUÇ: Çalışmada tüm öğrencilerinin problem çözme becerileri orta düzeyde bulunurken 3. ve 4. sınıfların problem çözme becerileri diğer gruplara göre anlamlı derecede yüksek bulunmuştur. Üniversite eğitiminin öğrencilerin problem çözme becerilerini artırdığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study is to investigate the problem solving skills of health management students.

METHOD: In this descriptive study, data were collected by personal information form and The Problem Solving Inventory. Universe and sample were consisted of all the students at the Department of Health Management in a health sciences faculty in Middle Anatolia Region (N=230). Data which were collected between March, 4-8, 2013 were analyzed in SPSS by using Chi square, Mann-Whitney U, One-Way ANOVA Kruskal-Wallis tests.

RESULTS: Average scores of Problem Solving Inventory among the 195 students those participated to the study were 82,12±18,27. It was found that 3rd grade students’ (73,92±16,77) and those who thought that they have leadership skills (=79,83±17,21) have had significantly higher level problem solving skills (p<0,05). There were no significant differences between problem solving skills of the students according to some variables such as age, gender, parent’ education level, economical status.

CONCLUSION: Average problem solving skills of the students were medium but 3rd and 4th grade students’ were higher than the other groups. It is concluded that university education has significant contribution to problem solving skills of the students.
