The
Ground Control Point (GCP) design in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
Photogrammetry directly affects the accuracy of the products. Especially in
areas where topographic change is high, this effect is observed more clearly.
In this study, the relation between location of GCP and accuracy of positioning
was investigated in an area of 270 hectares in Gaziantep/Nizip. For this
purpose, 4 different GCP network have been designed. In order to test the
position accuracy in the study area, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)
measurements were carried out. Afterwards, the positioning information obtained
from GNSS and UAV evaluations were compared and the effect of GCP design on
position accuracy for Nizip region was investigated.
