Bu çalışma, Türkiye’deki üniversitelerde öğrenci memnuniyetinin 2020-2024 yılları arasındaki değişimini incelemektedir. UniAr tarafından her yıl gerçekleştirilen Türkiye Üniversite Memnuniyet Araştırması (TÜMA) verileri kullanılarak, altı temel memnuniyet alanı analiz edilmiştir: Öğrenim Deneyiminin Tatminkârlığı, Yerleşke ve Yaşamının Doyuruculuğu, Akademik Destek ve İlgi, Kurumun Yönetim ve İşleyişinden Memnuniyet, Öğrenme İmkân ve Kaynaklarının Zenginliği ve Kişisel Gelişim ve Kariyer Desteği. İstatistiksel analizler sonucunda, genel memnuniyetin yüksek olduğunu ancak yıllar içinde azalma trendi gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur. Özellikle “Kurumun Yönetim ve İşleyişi” alanındaki memnuniyet konusunda belirgin bir düşüş gözlenmiştir. “Yerleşke ve Yaşam Doyuruculuğu” değişkeni bakımından ise yüksek memnuniyet olduğu ve yıllara göre durumun değişmediği gözlemlenmiştir. Abdullah Gül Üniversitesi, 2020- 2022 yıllarında en yüksek memnuniyet puanına sahip üniversite olarak öne çıkarken, 2023-2024’te İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü ve Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi liderliği almıştır. Kruskal Wallis testi, yıllar arasında genel memnuniyet ve alt boyutlarda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar olduğunu göstermiştir. 2020 yılı, diğer yıllara göre daha yüksek memnuniyetle dikkat çekmiş; bu durum, COVID-19 pandemisinin uzaktan eğitime geçiş gibi etkilerine bağlanmıştır. Ayrıca, “Öğrenim Deneyiminin Tatminkârlığı” ile “Akademik Destek ve İlgi” arasında %88’lik yüksek bir korelasyon bulunmuş, akademik desteğin öğrenme deneyimini olumlu etkilediği vurgulanmıştır.
This study examines the evolution of student satisfaction at Turkish universities between 2020 and 2024. Using data from the annual Turkish University Satisfaction Survey (TÜMA) conducted by UniAr, six main areas of satisfaction are analyzed: Satisfaction with the Learning Experience, Satisfaction with Campus and Life, Academic Support and Care, Satisfaction with the Management and Functioning of the Institution, Richness of Learning Opportunities and Resources, and Personal Development and Career Support. The results show that overall satisfaction is high but has shown a decreasing trend over the years. A significant decline was observed especially in “Management and Functioning of the Institution”. In terms of the variable “Campus and Life Satisfaction”, it was observed that there was high satisfaction, and the situation did not change over the years. Abdullah Gül University stands out as the university with the highest satisfaction score in 2020-2022, while Izmir Institute of Technology and Yıldız Technical University took the lead in 2023-2024. The Kruskal-Wallis test showed that there were statistically significant differences in overall satisfaction and sub-dimensions between the years. The year 2020 stood out with higher satisfaction than other years, which was attributed to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as the transition to distance education. Furthermore, a high correlation of 88% was found between “Satisfaction with the Learning Experience” and “Academic Support and Care”, emphasizing that academic support positively affects the learning experience. The study suggests that universities should focus on student-oriented improvements. Considering the young population in Turkey, regular satisfaction analyses are critical for higher education policies.
