Özet

Implant systems such a dosage form which are embeded into body, subcutaneous site or muscle to provide local or systemic therapeutic effect by releasing drug in a sustained manner. In the field of veterinary medicine, parenteral systems especially implant systems have gain importance, in the last decade, in long term effect or therapy applications. In this review rubber, solid, microparticular or injectable implant systems applying via vaginal, subcutaneous or intramuscular route highlighted by investigations and commercial products in terms of reproduction control, ectoparasite control, vaccination, growth promotion and other application fields.
