Özet
Natural disasters are common in the world and in Turkey and thus adversely affect many living beings and humanity. The negative impact of global warming on the world may create the phenomenon of climate migration; this situation may put disadvantaged individuals into high risk. In the study, the attitude of the new media towards disadvantaged individuals in the risk of climate change is discussed. The new media informs today’s society and performs perception management; so, it forms the perception of the public. In this study, qualitative research method is used to analyze new media tools for disadvantaged individuals at the risk of climate migration due to climate change. Depending on global climate change, drought, thirst, famine, forest fires turn into a global ecological crisis. In the example of disadvantaged individuals, the way the new media must address climate change is important and the risk of being affected by climate migration is one of the issues that need to be raised awareness. Throughout history, human beings have changed places due to various reasons and tried to adapt to new places. Today, in the process of adaptation to climate change, it is necessary to calculate the risk for disadvantaged individuals and to eliminate the problems that may arise. Since new media has an important place in today’s technology, it is important to raise awareness about climate migration due to climate change and the risks that individuals in the risky group may face.
