Optimization in Sustainable Energy: Methods and Applications, wiley, ss.183-206, 2026
This study presents an evaluation of global renewable energy trends focusing on the usage rates of various energy types over the years in countries that lead in renewable energy adoption. The analysis includes a comparative assessment of renewable energy capacity among these nations examining annual usage rates as alternatives and the year-over-year changes in renewable energy types as criteria. By constructing a comprehensive matrix of these variables, we determine level weights based on the annual changes observed. This approach objectively reveals the progression of renewable energy development over time. ENTROPY method is employed to quantify the significance of these changes offering insights into the importance that leading renewable energy producers attach to different energy types based on yearly data. Additionally, the study analyzes the latest data to assess the capacity in various renewable energy categories aiming to identify the relative importance placed on each type by the leading nations in this sector.
