Özet

Experimental investigations to determine the critical surface tension of wetting (C) values by contact angle goniometer and the surface roughness of calcite mineral from the ground products of ball, rod and autogenous mills by Surtronic 3+ direct measurement techniques are presented. The surface roughness values of particles in pelleted forms determined by Surtronic 3+ were stated in terms of the Ra values. The lower surface roughness and C values were observed in the autogenously ground particles while rod mill products had higher surface roughness and C values. It was concluded that, the wettability of calcite increases as the surface roughness of particles increases.
