Özet
Polymerizable surfactants have an important place in industrial applications and scientific research today. These substances offer effective solutions for providing protection against corrosion in various areas thanks to both their ability to reduce surface tension and their polymerization properties. Corrosion is a serious problem that occurs when metal surfaces oxidize or deteriorate as a result of chemical reactions over time. This situation can lead to great costs, especially in the automotive, construction and marine sectors. The use of polymerizable surfactants offers a revolutionary approach in the development of corrosion-preventive coatings. When such substances are applied to surfaces, they both form a protective layer and improve the physical and chemical properties of the surface. In addition, the polymerization ability of these substances provides permanent and durable protection, providing long-term performance advantages. In this book section, the corrosion-protection properties of polymerizable surfactants will be discussed in detail; the chemical structures, mechanisms and application areas of these substances will be emphasized. In addition, the advantages and potential disadvantages of the use of these substances will be discussed. Innovative approaches to the prevention and control of corrosion increase the sustainability of industrial processes and reduce environmental impacts. In this context, the role of polymerizable surfactants is of critical importance to modern engineering and materials science.
