This study deals with research work based on a new explosive-based anchorage system for cable bolts. The aim of this system is to apply pre-tension to cable bolts, which is independent of cement mortar. Within the scope of this work, a pull-out test device has been designed and produced. On further anchorage, alternatives have been iteratively developed based on the results of the preceding alternatives. In this way, nine different concepts have been produced and a total of 220 experiments were carried out in different mines. Evaluation of the results has shown that 'an oblique steel cap with gelatinite dynamite explosion' is a sufficiently good approach to cable bolt anchorage in a borehole. The pull-out test values outstripped an anchored load of 10 t, which was within the aims of this study.
