Covid-19 Pandemi Sürecinde Öğretmenlerin Beklentileri ve Bu Beklentilerin Karşılanma Düzeyleri

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde öğretmenlerin beklentilerini ve bu beklentilerin karşılanma düzeyine ilişkin algılarını belirlemektir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi ve durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2020-2021 eğitim- öğretim yılında MEB’e bağlı okullarda görev yapan 68 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubu maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde içerik analizi ve NVivo 11 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin Covid-19 Pandemi sürecinde öğrencilerden beklentileri en çok disiplinli hareket etmeleri en az ise psikolojik beklentiler yönünde olmuştur. Velilerden beklentileri en çok eğitsel destek, en az ise iş birliği ve sağlık kuralları ile ilgili; diğer meslektaşlarından beklentileri en çok iş birliği ve dayanışma, en az ise ekstra performans sergileme yönünde olmuştur. Okul yöneticilerinden beklentileri en çok sağlıkla ilgili ve yönetsel beklentiler en az ise öğrencilere teknik destek sağlama; MEB’den beklentileri en çok teknolojik destek, en az ise program ile ilgili beklentiler şeklinde olmuştur. Kamuoyundan beklentileri en çok etik ve sorumlu davranış; en az ise bilgilendirme yapmaları olmuştur. Öğretmenlerin Covid-19 pandemi sürecinde beklentileri en fazla meslektaşları, en az ise kamuoyu tarafından karşılanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında özellikle kamuoyunun öğretmenlere ilişkin doğru, güvenilir ve hassas bilgi paylaşımı yapması önerilmektedir.
The study aims to determine teachers’ expectations during the COVID-19 pandemic and their perceptions regarding the extent to which these expectations were met. The study was conducted using a qualitative research method and a case study design.The study group consisted of 68 teachers working in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education during the 2020-2021 academic year. The study group was determined using maximum variation sampling. A semi-structured interview form created by the researcher was used as the data collection tool. Content analysis and the NVivo 11 software package were used to analyze the data obtained in the study. Teachers' expectations from students during the COVID-19 pandemic were mostly disciplined behavior and least psychological expectations. Their expectations from parents were mostly educational support and least cooperation and health regulations; their expectations from other colleagues were mostly cooperation and solidarity and least extra performance. Their expectations from school administrators were mostly health-related and administrative expectations and least technical support for students; their expectations from the Ministry of National Education were mostly technological support and least program-related expectations. Their expectations from the public were mostly ethical and responsible behavior; The least common expectation was for information to be provided. Teachers' expectations during the COVID-19 pandemic were met most by their colleagues and least by the public. The research specifically recommends that the public share accurate, reliable, and sensitive information regarding teachers.
