Özet

In this article, the environmental (air-odor-noise-image-water-soil pollution) problems and effects that emerged after the 06.02.2023 earthquakes are expressed as secondary disasters, and a pollution response management plan, and a pollution following plan has been proposed in draft form. For this purpose, especially earthquake and pollution issues were first examined from AFAD studies produced for different types of disasters. An earthquake activity map was prepared with the M>4 earthquake data of Kandilli Observatory. A table of wind velocity-temperature values has been prepared according to the earthquake zone cities of 7-8-9 February, taken daily from MGM. All the examination results, the prepared map and table were examined and interpreted. Accordingly, after the earthquakes, it is suggested that there should be a pollution response management plan and that pollution should be considered as a type of disaster, evaluated and added to the existing community-based disaster response management plans and a draft plan is suggested. This plan should be applied by starting pollution investigations as soon as possible after the earthquake. Because, the earthquakes and their numerous aftershocks occurred in winter conditions. It was first observed that air-water-odor pollution emerged and concentrated in cities where air temperatures increased. Therefore, it is proposed that the seasonal-geographic-topographic conditions of the countries should be taken into consideration in secondary disaster preparation and management. The effects of asbestos and mining in the region were also expressed. Therefore, if secondary disaster is added to the list of disaster types and institutionalized, it is thought that the proposed plan will make a significant benefit to disaster response management.
