Özet

Istar weaving whose history is based on many years ago, is also known as floor cover weaving by Yuruks weaving in the plateaus of Mersin and have been woven for many years. As in all handcrafts, istar weaving woven in Gozne plateau located in Mersin cannot be maintained and has been in danger of extinction. The aim of this study is to create a permanent source about local weaving via examining both istar weaving woven in Gozne plateau located in Mersin and examples survived until today.
