Özet
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of varying soil water conditions on ion migration in lime column applications. Within the scope of the study, 4 laboratory models were created representing different water conditions. These models represent the no water inlet condition, water inflow from the top, water inflow from the column and saturated condition, respectively. After a two-month curing period, the ion migration distances in the models were determined using an acid-base indicator called phenolphthalein. The results of the study showed that the greatest ion migration occurred under saturated conditions over a distance equal to 1.7 times the column diameter and the smallest ion migration was observed under the condition with no water inlet over a distance equal to 0.965 times the column diameter. It was concluded that water flow through the soil had little effect on ion migration due to the soil’s low permeability.
