Özet
Globalization and technology have profoundly affected the ways of doing business, cultures, and strategies of organizations in today’s business world. This change forces organizations into a continuous transformation process and requires them to adapt to environmental conditions. In this process, leadership is an important factor in promoting the growth and development of the organization. Leadership is one of the most important factors for employees to work effectively and efficiently, and for organizations to be successful. Especially in recent years, with the decrease in the willingness of employees to fulfil their duties and responsibilities, problems such as a decrease in productivity, a decrease in quality, and an increase in labor turnover rate have become more apparent. With the decrease in employees’ commitment and motivation to the organization, the importance of leadership has become a subject of more discussion. With the technological development, organizations have undergone transformation, and many business processes and working orders have been digitalized. In this process, digital leadership, which is seen as a critical competence for organizations, has emerged. Digital leadership is the process of blending innovation, technology, change, and human concepts in a balanced way in organizations and managing them to keep up to date. At the same time, digital leadership includes innovative thinking, change management, development of digital skills, and organizational transformation. Although this leadership is considered necessary for the success of businesses, it is necessary to pay attention to the threats it brings with it. In particular, insufficient digital capabilities, resistance to change, technological adaptation difficulties, data privacy and ethical issues, technological dependency, ignoring the human factor, and lack of resources for digital transformation are among the problems that need to be solved. This study has been prepared in order to evaluate the possible problems that may arise in the digital leadership process and to suggest solutions. Digital leadership offers great strategic opportunities for organizations, but it can also lead to serious problems. Since leadership has a critical importance for organizations, it is of great importance to consider the problems that may arise in the digitalization process. In this regard, the issues that should not be ignored should be handled meticulously.
