Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate characteristics of migraine pain and effects of this pain on the daily activity of individuals. Method: This descriptive study was performed on 101 adult individuals with migraine in the Neurology Outpatients Clinic of Sivas Cumhuriyet University Hospital. The study data were obtained with Personal and Clinical Characteristics Form for Migraine Persons (PCCF-MP), Visual Analog Scale-VAS, The Migraine Disability Assessment Questionnaire (MIDAS) and Headache Impact Test (HIT). Collected data was evaluated with SPSS. Results: Migraine individuals' 41.6% is between 17-30 ages, 69.3% is woman, 27.7% of the duration of the illness is over ten years, 37.6% is one time in fifteen days, %38.6 has pulsatile pain specialty, 29.7% feels 8. degree pain (min:1-max:10) according to VAS. Discussion and Conclusion: As a result, in our sample of migraine, pain intensity is high. In addition to migraine pain, daily activities of individuals are severely restricted. Efficient provision of health services such as medical treatment, education, and counseling will decrease limitations in daily activities due to migraine pain in individuals with migraine.
