In this study, three different pipe grades, namely X42N, quality A, and quality B, were joined by TIG and shielded metal arc welding methods per TS EN ISO 3183 standard. In order to determine the mechanical properties of the materials and the quality of welding application, radiographic examinations, root bend test, nick break test, macrostructure examination, and hardness measurements were carried out. As a result of these analysis, it was determined that the TIG welding method creates less shrinkage in the pipe inner diameter of the weld seam region and provides higher mechanical properties compared to the shielded metal arc welding method. It was also revealed that X42N quality pipe provides better mechanical properties compared to grade B and grade A pipes. When the hardness values were examined, it was found the mechanical properties were improved with increasing hardness value.
