Born in Giresun in 1991, DÜZÜN developed an interest in music, particularly the bağlama (a Turkish stringed instrument), during his middle school years. He completed his primary and secondary education in Sivas. In 2009, he graduated from Muzaffer Sarısözen Anatolian Fine Arts High School in Sivas, specializing in violin. That same year, he was accepted to the Traditional Turkish Art Music Department at Selçuk University Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory, where he began his undergraduate studies in the tanbur (another Turkish stringed instrument). During his undergraduate studies, he received lessons in tanbur and music theory from state artist Kağan ULAŞ, and music theory from Prof. Dr. Sühan İRDEN. He also accompanied various TRT/Ministry artists with violin and tanbur in numerous concerts and events both within and outside the city. He completed his undergraduate education in 2015. In the same year, she began her Master's program in Turkish Music at Gazi University, Institute of Fine Arts. During her Master's studies, she had the opportunity to work with Prof. Dr. Gülçin YAHYÂ KAÇAR, Prof. Dr. Mehmet GÖNÜL, Prof. Dr. Vasfi HATİPOĞLU, and Prof. Dr. Recep USLU. In 2019, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Vasfi HATİPOĞLU, she graduated from the Master's program with her thesis entitled "Analysis of İzzettin Ökte's Tanbûr Taksîms" and received the title of specialist. In 2020, she began her Doctoral program in Turkish Music at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Graduate Education Institute. In the same year, she was appointed as a Research Assistant at Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Turkish Music State Conservatory. In 2024, again under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Under the supervision of Vasfi HATİPOĞLU, he graduated from the doctoral program with a dissertation titled "The Tanbur Style in Turkish Music from Tanburi Cemil Bey to the Present Day," earning a Doctorate in Turkish Music. In the same year, he was appointed to a teaching position at the same institution. Since 2020, he has continued his academic work at the Sivas Cumhuriyet University State Conservatory of Turkish Music, teaching courses in Individual Instrument Training (Tanbur), Turkish Music Theory, and the postgraduate curriculum of the Turkish Music Department. Married with one child, Düzün continues his academic work in areas such as tanbur performance, performance transcription, and analysis.
